Hymn of Love
Snuggle up with a good drink, and a warm blanket, and read my love story of The Sun. Love, CCC
For most of his life, The Son walked a familiar path, and saw the same tree along many journeys. Some journeys brought success, others misery, but each one left a significant impact on his life. The Son never paid much attention to the moments along the way, it was the end result that mattered. The moment when the goal was achieved, or the title won, or unfortunately, the loss at the end of a hard fought battle. Each redo around the path was familiar, yet unfamiliar. Some elements were the same and comfortable, and others, although seemingly different, were connected in a strange way. Each passage along the path left an indelible mark on his existence. However, no matter how many rotations were made, the tree - old and wise, its gnarled branches reaching toward the heavens, its roots buried deep in the earth - was a comfortable and welcome sight. An omen of sorts that guided The Son through the journey, a reassuring and welcoming sight—a silent guide and an unspoken call for change.
After many years, The Son became weary of the journey and decided to pause and rest beneath the tree. As he approached, he removed his shoes, and rolled up his sleeves in an attempt to truly connect, finally, with the message he imagined the tree was sending. He desperately wanted to believe that he was not crazy, and more importantly, hoped that no one was watching his vulnerability with one of nature's most majestic beings. The Son spread his toes, so that each one sank softly into the earth below, spread his arms as far as they could reach, and extended his fingers so the tips appeared to reach the top. He sighed, he longed to hear the whispers of the tree’s wisdom, as though it held a message he needed to decipher. He desperately wanted something different in his life, and the tree was sturdy enough to bear the weight of his desperation, without criticizing him for his weakness.
As he touched the tree with his fingers, hands, arms, torso, legs, feet, and toes in full extension, he inhaled deeply with the passing wind. With a firm embrace of his familiar friend, he exhaled with an audible groan that appeared to release all of his anxiety, fear, and suffering. The tree swayed with the wind, as The Son inhaled and exhaled, and turned his ear to the bark. It was a moment of desperation and despair. He needed to hear the message that he thought the tree was trying to tell him with each and every pass of his journey. As he pressed his ear closer, he heard a silent hum. At the same time, the wind passed again bending a branch so close that it appeared as if the tree was embracing The Son. He jumped back, startled at the movement, but yet quieted by all the energy. He moved closer with the same intentionality as the first time, embraced, and listened again. The tree swayed, as if in a dance with the passing wind, as it cradled The Son within the branch. This time, The Son did not move, he just breathed. In and out, as if he had forgotten that it was an involuntary movement. Then he listened, going deeper and deeper into the centre of the tree hoping for a word. Instead, he simply heard the hum.
Though frustrated with the lack of communication, The Son continued to go to the tree at least twice a day, breathing and listening for a word. The tree consistently embraced him, radiating silent love. One day, in a final act of surrender, he decided to stop trying to force the tree's message. He questioned the tree, “I trusted you to guide me. I trusted that you would tell me what to do. I know you have watched me my whole life. I have been good. I deserve happiness. You know this. Why won’t you reveal what I must do?” With that The Son gave up, surrendering to the branches of the tree. What choice did he have? He had been doing it his way all this time. In surrendering to the branches, he released all judgment of himself and everything else, resigned to follow his spirit instead of his ego.
In that moment he felt bliss - a quiet, peaceful, joy that he had never experienced before. He remained in that position breathing and listening, but this time, not for a word, but to the hum, slowly realizing that the hum was not only coming from the tree, but from inside him, and everything around him. The chirp of the birds joined the hum and made a song. Even the background noises seemed to be in harmony.
The Son returned to the tree practicing deeper breathing and listening exercises. Each time the bliss lasted longer and longer, and also felt brighter and warmer than the time before. On one occasion, as he slipped into bliss, The Son noticed a subtle turn, as if returning to something once known but forgotten. The experience made him feel wholē - holy. He saw himself beyond his physical form, and experienced the essence of himself. More importantly, he remembered that he was not a son at all but The Sun, shining bright and warm.
They glanced around and noticed that they were connected, through a cosmic network, to other Suns, all of which were connected to a great energy - The Source of all creation. The Sun was pleased. He remembered who he was. They re-membered their strength and worth. They re-turned to The Source that supplied them with everything good, beautiful, and joyful. In the other Suns, The Sun saw that he was connected to the great archetypes that came before. Angels, ancestors, great spiritual leaders, musicians, artists, and leaders. Everyone, everything, everywhere, across space, time, and dimensions, were connected through beams of light that appeared to be held together by the hum - The Hymn that held everything together in one song - the Great Uni-verse. It was The Hymn that spoke silently through the tree and called The Sun home.
“What if I hadn’t listened?” thought The Sun. “What if I stayed on the continuous redo loop, journey after journey after journey. What if I didn’t listen when I was called?” Suddenly there was an urge to turn around again, towards the direction they were in before the bliss. The Sun noticed other Suns. Some were returning as they had just done moments before. Others were glowing brighter, but not quite turning yet. And still, others were facing toward the darkness, their light dim. Many were so far away from The Source, that even though they were still connected to the cosmic network, they appeared as if their light was non-existent. The Sun saw himself in them. Not in the physical features, but in the desperation, loneliness, and suffering. They wanted to help. With this new found sense of purpose, The Sun turned back toward The Source frantically trying to figure out how to help the others, but fearful of the outcome.
“What if they make fun of me when I tell them of my experience? What if they mock me or even worse, crucify me like they did the Christ? What if I tell them about this bliss and they do not listen?”
The Source spoke through The Sun as if they were one and the same. As if the Great I Am is the I Am that I Am too.
The Source whispered through The Sun, “Do not ask 'What if,' just speak to 'What is.' Your purpose is your purpose; use it to make them know who you are, one by one. Love is love; use it to guide your words, thoughts, and actions. Truth is truth; tell it to all who will listen. Do not ask 'What if,' My Sun, just speak to 'What is.”
The Sun contemplated the message from The Source, reflecting on purpose, love, and truth. As beautiful as they were, The Sun realized that they glowed completely different from all the other Suns, and therefore had a purpose that was unique and special only to them. In order to fulfill that purpose, they had to use their glow, their superpower, their energy and love, for good.
The Sun thought about love and remembered the renewed journey to bliss. Breathing and listening calmed them, and elevated their frequency enough to join the frequency of the Hymn. The bliss that can only be felt when you slow down to surrender to the moment, be still in the now, and love the present. The bliss that comes from realizing that there is no time, just an opportunity to love the present. The Sun had quieted themselves down enough to be carried on the wings of The Hymn into love. The Sun started to think about all the moments spent rushing and moving, never taking the time to stop and smell the roses, or more importantly, hug a tree. This moment was an opportunity to do better, to be better, to change the fate of the world.
“What if this worked?” The Sun thought. “What if all the Suns worked together to help the others that were dim? What if they all used their purpose to touch one person, or two, and let every dim Sun shine as brightly as possible?” This would be the atonement - the moment that the whole universe is “at one”.
The Sun decided to truly maximize their experience as a human-Being and do things differently. The bliss had removed all of the junk and build up that had kept them from seeing and knowing who they really were. In finally knowing themselves, both the human and the Being, they were able to leave out their purpose with passion and joy.
The Sun realized that the journey had led to a profound transformation, not only in themselves but in the world around them. The path, the tree, and the hum of the universe had all conspired to awaken a deep understanding within The Sun. They had discovered their true purpose, to radiate love and light, to be a beacon of hope, and to help others rediscover their inner brilliance.
As The Sun's warmth and radiance spread, more and more Suns began to turn towards the Source, rekindling their own inner light. The world started to change, one person at a time, as The Sun's love and compassion touched countless lives. The once-dim Suns began to shine brightly once again, and the symphony of The Hymn grew stronger with each passing day.
The Sun's journey had come full circle, from a life of ego-driven pursuits to a life of purpose, love, and unity. They had found the courage to be true to themselves, to follow the call of their spirit, and in doing so, they had ignited a transformation that rippled across the universe.
And so, The Sun stood under the tree, not as a lost wanderer but as a radiant being, a source of warmth and hope for all who crossed their path. They no longer questioned "What if," for they knew that the power of love and purpose was real, and it could change the world, one heart at a time.
In the end, The Sun had discovered that the greatest journey of all was the one within, and it had led them to a place of boundless love, profound understanding, and the realization that they were not just a son but The Sun, shining bright and warm for all eternity.
I Am The Sun.
